It is day 2645 since we have been in lock down here in Malaysia... kinda feels like it anyway. Our Prime Minister just announced last night that MCO will be extended to 12th May 2020, T_T ...
Honestly, I think it is the right thing to do, doesn't make it any harder to take, but I think it is necessary, and I would rather have this virus under control, instead of having it flaring up again if we loosen the restrictions too soon, like some other countries that are experiencing it now.
While not everyone will agree with my opinion on the new extensions, I think everyone can agree that having young children at home during this time amplifies the difficulties by a millionth! The children are getting cranky for being stuck at home, and parents are getting crankier for having to deal with the cranky kids.
My boys, they are now 4 and 2.5 years old. Master Z has gone right into his terrible two mode, and Master H never seemed to have shook it even at 4 years old. Both have so much opinion about E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G, so there is always tears and screams all day round. Sometimes from them, other times from mummy.
Master H's school had also started some online learning classes weeks ago, nothing too elaborate, he is 4 after all. Let me tell you though, I was never one who feels that teacher don't do enough. I have always respected them for their commitment with their job. But since the start of this online learning exercise, I have a renewed respect for all the teachers out there! They are saintly for doing what they do on a daily basis.
Something positive did come out of this lock down though. I have never taken much photos of my boys with my fancy camera. Always a quick phone snap. With all these free time at home, we were able to get some pictures for both the boys, before they run off doing their boy things again.
Hoping the MCO will not go for too much longer, but do hope I will get some more pictures of the boys, if they let me...
